Ambassador Mamundzay Meets Indian Chief of the Army Staff

NEW DELHI – H.E Farid Mamundzay, ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to India met with General Manoj Mukund Naravane, India’s Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) at the latter’s office this afternoon. They discussed bilateral defense cooperation particularly capacity building and India’s medical support to Afghan National Defence and Security Forces. (ANDSF).
During the meeting, they also touched upon the issue of US complete troops pull out from Afghanistan and exchanged views on other issue of mutual interest. Ambassador Mamundzay thanked India for its steadfast support to ANDSF and added that ANDSF requires timely support of India to further build professional, capable and self-sustaining security forces. General Naravane assured Ambassador Mamundzay of continuation of his country’s support.
